Corrections & Updates

How to report factual errors and understand corrections, clarifications, and updates to published reporting.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Accuracy and accountability

The American Dispatch welcomes specific, substantiated reports of factual errors. Corrections address material inaccuracies; clarifications add context when wording could mislead; and updates reflect meaningful developments after publication.

Request a correction

Include the story headline or link, the detail you believe is inaccurate, and a reliable supporting source when possible. We review submissions against the available record and may contact you for clarification.

How changes are handled

When a material error is verified, the correction should be reflected in the article and identified clearly rather than silently rewriting the record. Developing reports may be updated as new information becomes available. Not every disagreement about framing or interpretation indicates a factual error.
