DISPATCH OPINION · PRIVACY & INNOVATION

Technology should give people more control, not less.

Artificial intelligence can improve everyday work, but innovation should never require users to surrender their privacy without meaningful choice. Consumers deserve clear explanations of what information leaves their devices, how it is retained, and which services can operate locally.

We favor competition, transparent product claims, and practical protections that empower consumers without unnecessarily shutting out small innovators. Companies earn trust by proving their tools are useful and secure, not by treating consent as fine print.

A free market works best when customers can compare products and walk away. The next generation of technology ought to strengthen that freedom.
